Vergiss, wie wichtig es ist, sich umeinander zu kümmern.
Nur du bist wichtig.
Atme tief durch.
Hier ist alles in Ordnung.
Schließ einfach deine Augen und entspann dich.


Katie Britchford ist eine australische Künstlerin, die in München lebt und arbeitet. Ihre Kunstwerke und Installationen sind oft ortsspezifisch und von deren Umgebung inspiriert, daher die SAUNA, die perfekt zum KloHäuschen passt. Katie stellt gerne in Off-Spaces aus, die eher von der breiten Öffentlichkeit als von einem Kunstpublikum frequentiert werden, weil es ihr wichtig ist, dass ihre Arbeit über die Kunstwelt hinausgeht.
Durch Installationen, räumliche Interventionen und Skulpturen stellt Katie vorgefasste Meinungen über die grundlegende Verwendung und Anwendung von Materialien und Gegenständen in Frage. Sie versucht dadurch den Begriff des reinen Wesens dieser Materialien, ihres Wertes und der Wirkung der Dinge zu erweitern.

Katie Britchford is an Australian artist who lives and works in Munich. Her artworks and installations are often site-specific and inspired by their location, hence the SAUNA, which felt like the perfect fit for the KloHäuschen. Katie likes to exhibit in off-spaces that are frequented by the general public rather than an art audience, because it is important to her that the work reaches beyond the art world.
Through installation, spatial intervention and sculpture, Katie challenges preconceived notions of the basic uses and applications of materials and objects. She seeks to expand the notion of the pure essence of these materials, their value and the agency of things.
